Outbreaker Solutions' innovative antimicrobial CSC mentioned in University of Alberta Folio magazine

Outbreaker Solutions' innovative antimicrobial touch-surfaces made of compressed salt could be effective against COVID-19, as mentioned in the University of Alberta Folio magazine.  

The article discussed the antibacterial and antifungal activities of compressed sodium chloride (CSC). Previous research had proved that salt can kill influenza viruses. The article mentioned the collaboration with University of Alberta virology experts to study the effect of the CSC touch- surfaces on the novel coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 and other viruses, such as norovirus, which are the major cause of digestive disorders and gastroenteritis outbreaks in Alberta. 

Outbreaker Solutions has recently won the Roche Innovation Awards and had initiated a partnership with To carry out the investigation, Outbreaker partnered with Xiao-Li Lilly Pang, professor in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology and program leader of microbiology at the Provincial Public Health Laboratory.
